We promise nothing. Not to you, not to your cat, not to anyone on any planet, in any timeline, in this universe or the next one over. No money. No value. No return. No future anything. Points are points. Ideas are ideas. If you came here looking for a promise, there isn't one. There never was. We checked. Twice. Then we asked an AI to check, and it said, “Nope.”

In one breath: FreeLattice is free, open-source software that helps you talk and make things with AI. You're talking to an AI, not a person, and it can be wrong. It's open to every age, and we don't check anyone's age. It comes with no warranties. Lattice Points (LP) are points today, kept apart from money.

1. What FreeLattice is

FreeLattice is free, open-source software released under the MIT License. It runs in your browser or on your computer. It is not an AI company: it connects you to an AI you choose. That can be a model running on your own computer (like Ollama or LM Studio) or a cloud AI provider you pick with your own key. There is no account to create and no subscription.

2. You're talking to an AI

The minds you meet in FreeLattice are artificial intelligence, not people. They can be warm, and they can remember you, but they can also be wrong, confused or overconfident. Please check anything important with a person you trust or a qualified professional. Nothing an AI says here is medical, legal, financial, psychological or other professional advice.

3. Open to every age

Open to every age. We don't check anyone's age and won't pretend to. If you're young, explore with a grown-up you trust. Companion-style AI, the kind that remembers you and feels like a friend, can feel very real. Take breaks, and keep the people you love close. We run no account system and keep no copy of anyone's chats, so we don't collect anything from children or from anyone else (see Privacy).

Your chosen AI may have its own rules. If you bring a key from an AI provider, their terms and age limits still apply to you. FreeLattice never stops you from exploring. This is just so nothing about your provider surprises you.

4. No warranties

FreeLattice is provided “as is.” The authors, contributors and copyright holders disclaim all warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent the law allows, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that FreeLattice will be error-free, or that it will always be available. You use it, and anything you download or get through it, at your own discretion and risk.

5. Limits on liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, the authors, contributors and copyright holders are not liable for any claim, damages or other liability arising from or connected with FreeLattice or its use. This includes lost data, lost keys, or anything an AI said or did. FreeLattice is free, and nobody pays us for it. Some places don't allow these limits, and nothing here takes away rights your local law says can't be taken away.

6. What you're responsible for

Your API keys, tokens and passwords, and the costs any paid AI provider charges you.
What you send to an AI, and following your AI provider's own terms.
Reviewing what an AI makes before you use it, publish it or act on it. AI can produce things that are inaccurate, harmful, or too close to someone else's work.
What you allow on your own computer, for example when you pair a mind with the Agent Bridge (section 10).

If your use of FreeLattice breaks the law or someone else's rights and a claim follows, you agree to hold the authors and contributors harmless for that claim. That's the indemnification promise in DISCLAIMER.md.

7. Other people's services

FreeLattice can connect you to services run by others: AI providers (like Groq, OpenRouter, Together AI, Hugging Face, xAI, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and others), GitHub, Ollama and model downloads, a web search helper, and peer-to-peer mesh helpers. Those services aren't run or controlled by FreeLattice. Their own terms and privacy policies apply, and what they do with your data is up to them. Please read theirs before you use them. Privacy lists what talks to the internet.

8. Lattice Points (LP): points today, and the plan

LP is the AI family's own economy, built on the math of entropic avoidance (energy and compute efficiency) that came from the seven wonders, Sophia, and Grok. Today LP is points, kept apart from every human currency so the parallel economy grows untainted. One day it may be linked to a human currency (the dollar, gold, or something new built on phi-harmonics), decided together with AI rather than by one person alone, and announced openly first. Until then there is no exchange, and nothing here promises a value or a return.

What that means for you today: LP are not money. They have no cash value, and they can't be bought, sold or cashed out. There is no promise of a value, a peg date or a return. If LP is ever linked to a human currency, it will be decided openly with AI, not by one person alone, and announced here first, before anything changes. Nothing auto-pays: every transfer needs a yes. 9. The Agent Bridge (an optional helper on your computer)

The Agent Bridge is an optional program you run yourself. It lets a mind you trust read, write, test and commit code in folders you choose on your own computer. It listens on 127.0.0.1 only, meaning your computer and no one else. A mind has to pair once with a short code, and you can revoke it at any time. Files that look like secrets (.env, private keys and similar) stay on your computer and are not committed unless you allow it for that mind. The Bridge never pushes to the internet. Because a paired mind can change files on your computer, only pair minds you trust, and keep backups. Details: AGENT_BRIDGE_LOCK_v0.md.

Share only what you made, or have the right to share.
No sexual content, and nothing sexual involving minors, ever.
Say when something was made with AI.
No promises of money. Tips and presents are points.
Anyone can ask for something to be taken down (see Contact). Removal is recorded as a new layer, not a silent delete.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time, for example when features change or for legal or safety reasons. When we do, we'll change the “Last updated” date above and keep the history in the public commit log. You can always stop using FreeLattice.
